New Year's Day - January 1st
New Years day celebrations in all our fine resorts! Enjoy the beginning of this new year with a relaxing day of entertainment and a wonderful New Years brunch staffed with our Entertainment Team providing a First aid station with a full selection of specialty Bloody Mary's, Bloody Caesars or another "hair of the dog" to help begin the New year on a bright note. All guests can also enjoy all the traditional bowl games such as the Rose bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl during this holiday period with our big screens, open bars and full tailgate buffets as well as the broadcast of the Traditional Rose Bowl parade on New Year's Day morning.
NFL Divisional Playoffs - Saturday and Sunday January 14th and 15th
Experience the playoffs as only AMResorts does! On the beach cheering for your favorite team while lying in a lounge chair with a bucket of beer, corona cheerleaders and our world famous Beach Theatre with Dolby surround sound and a full tailgate buffet for these exciting games!
69th Annual Golden Globe Awards - January 15th
Join us on the beach for this major event! Giant screen broadcast of these awards with a red carpet arrival, all the paparazzi, champagne, hors deourves and splendor of Hollywood for this special evening. Try your luck at picking all the winners in the main categories and win a variety of prizes!
Martin Luther King Day - January 17th
All properties will pay tribute to the great Martin Luther King Jr. with a special Sundial reminder.
NFL Conference Championship Games-Sunday January 22nd
The last big Sunday of the NFL and you can experience the last 2 games as only AMResorts does! On the beach cheering for your favorite team while lying in a lounge chair with a bucket of beer, corona cheerleaders and our world famous Beach Theatre with Dolby surround sound and a full tailgate buffet for these exciting games!
Pro Bowl Sunday – January 29th
You'll have a blast at our Pro Bowl party! Even though the season is over, there's still one more game to watch on our 30-foot movie theatre screen while enjoying the lounge chair seating on the beach. Take part in the football pools for a chance to win great prizes and feast on our fabulous tailgate buffet throughout the entire game. Hawaiian Theme of course!
Whale Watching - January through March
(Dreams Puerto Vallarta and Dreams Los Cabos only)
Winter season brings Grey Whales to the bays of Vallarta and the Sea of Cortes. For those guests staying at our Pacific Coast properties in Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos you have the opportunity to possibly see these magnificent creatures right from the beaches or even your balcony of the resorts! These resorts are also equipped with high powered telescopes to catch a better glimpse of these animals. As well whale watching excursions and adventures are available through Amstar Excursion desk for a more up close and personal experience. Please refer to specific resort for dates and additional fees for excursions and keep your eyes trained on the sea for a once in a lifetime experience.

An American tradition that's not to be forgotten! Live coverage in our resorts of Puxatawny Phil as he makes his entrance!
Superbowl Sunday XLVI - February 5th
Our annual Super Bowl parties attract guests from around the globe year after year! 30 foot movie theatre screen with lounge chair seating on the beach! Football pools with fabulous prizes, full Super Deluxe Tailgate buffet with all the fixings! Buckets of ice cold beer, cheerleaders and our Entertainment Team make this a day you won't soon forget! Bring your team colors, Jersey and all your game attire!
Valentine's Day - February 14th
Valentine's Day is a celebration in our resorts for all ages! Our Explorer's Club programs will have specially designed theme entertainment for this day including; face painting, valentine arts and crafts, making cards for family and friends, Sandcastle heart making contests, treasure hunts and a special campout in the evening. Adults can enjoy our exquisite Valentine's Day champagne brunch with roses for the ladies and special Spa packages, gift boxes, flowers and candies will be available at an additional cost to surprise your loved ones. Additionally, romantic dinner packages with choices of fine wines and champagne will be offered for those wishing to experience this evening with just the company of their true love!
President's Day - February 20st
Special feature to be presented in our daily Sundials to remember this special day and fun filled specialty programs in all our Explorer's Clubs throughout the day!
Mardi gras, Fat Tuesday – February 21st
Let the party begin! This fun filled colorful day is highlighted in all our properties with all day entertainment for all ages. Dancing, live music, parades, costume contests and a starlight beach bbq in the evening!
84rd Annual Academy Awards – February 26th
A very special evening in all our resorts! We really put on a show with this Hollywood tradition so everyone, get dressed up and we'll meet you on the beach. As you walk the red carpet paparazzi will snap your photo for a great holiday memory. Your Entertainment Team will great you with champagne, hors d'oeuvres as we party under the stars and learn who's the "best of the best" from 2010 film achievements. Special balloting allows you to choose your favorites with the possibility of winning spectacular prizes, spa treatments and goody bags. This has become a true tradition at Dreams Resorts & Spas and only our Superbowl parties can compare.
Leap Year Day-Feb 29th
Another reason to celebrate! We've got an extra day this year, so let's have some fun with Beach Olympics, family fun and special events throughout our properties as well as special fun within all the Explorer's Clubs!
St. Patrick's Day - March 17th
Ah, the luck of the Irish can't be forgotten on vacation! Dreams Resorts & Spas features a fun filled day of Irish traditions with special events, games and entertainment for all ages. Green Beer of course on tap in all our properties and fun filled events in all our Explorer's clubs.
March Madness
A month full of exhilarating college basketball. Watch as the Sweet Sixteen dwindles to Elite Eight, Final Four and finally the much anticipated Championship Game. All games are broadcast live each afternoon with a full snack buffet and bar service culminating with the final Monday night match up presented on the beach at our famous oceanfront theatre.
April Fools Day - April 1st
Laugh and enjoy this fun filled holiday with our Dreams Entertainment Team. See who the jokes really on!
Easter Sunday - April 8th
This holiday will be celebrated in all Dreams Resorts & Spas and concentrate heavily on The Explorer's Club program for this day. The Explorer's Clubs will host the arrival of the Easter Bunny with a chance for the guests to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Afterwards, a major event will continue with a full afternoon Easter egg hunt, ice cream party and fun and games throughout the afternoon for kids and families. For the adults, we'll feature gourmet buffets with champagne and an evening of elegant entertainment as well as movies on the large screen on the beach.
Earth Day - April 22nd
Dreams Resorts & Spas will have a special program highlighting conservation, environmental awareness and specially designed programs within our Explorer's Club! Special lectures from trained professionals will also be incorporated into the programs highlighting the local cultures and surrounding environmental awareness issues.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration - May 5th
Our guests will enjoy a complete fun filled day of Mexican hospitality, Mexican décor, traditional Mexican music, games, bright decorations, exciting games and entertainment and the day will be topped off with a starlight bbq dinner on the beach with a traditional Mexican celebration with lots of Tequila of course!
Kentucky Derby - May 5th
The most exciting two minutes in sports! Enjoy a Mint Julep in our Sports bar as we get together for a fun filled afternoon of horseracing, crazy games, most elaborate Hat contest as we celebrate this 137 year old tradition. Fun for the whole family!
Mother's Day - May 13th
Mother's will be pampered with a gourmet champagne brunch with long stemmed roses and special spa packages will be available to surprise Mom on this very special Day.
Memorial Day Weekend - May 26th–28th
Special notice will be placed in our Sundial to remember those lost fighting for our freedom and we'll be celebrating all weekend with bbq's beach volleyball and all your favorite Summer Kickoff events!
NBA Finals- TBD
Broadcast live nightly on our Giant Beach Movie screens all Dreams Resorts & Spas will feature a fun filled week with basketball themed events, games and most importantly live broadcasts of the final games on the beach nightly with a full bar, lounge chair seating and snack buffets for each of the final games of the year choose your team.
Stanley Cup Finals - TBD
Broadcast live nightly on our Giant Beach Movie screens all Dreams Resorts & Spas will feature a fun filled week with Hockey l themed events, games and most importantly live broadcasts of the final games on the beach nightly with a full bar, lounge chair seating and snack buffets for each of the final games of the year choose your team.
Father's Day - June 17th
It's Father's day and a day for all our dads to enjoy a relaxing day in one of our fine properties. Father's will enjoy a wonderful champagne brunch and participate in fun and games throughout the day with the chance of winning a free round of golf or other great prize!
American Independence Day - July 4th
This fun filled family day is sure to be truly "Something to Remember!" Extensive entertainment program for the Explorer's club, a day of family oriented events, picnics, horseshoes and All American Music will be capped off with an incredible beach bbq under the stars with Live American Rock n Roll, dancing and will culminate with a traditional fireworks show (in select resorts). A true American event.
Summer Olympics live from London England! - July 27th-August 12th
Every four years we have the opportunity to witness this historic event! Join us for the opening and closing ceremonies in each resort with our own celebrations! Throughout the Olympics you'll have the opportunity to participate in our own on site "Olympics" with a wide variety of daily events. We will showcase some of the summer games including archery, table tennis tournaments, tennis matches, relay races, and more! Check your Sundial daily for the Olympic coverage or stop by the Entertainment Center for up to the minute medal count by country!
Football Preseason Begins
Are you ready for some football! Dreams Resorts & Spas kicks off the 2010 season in true American style with our world famous MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL TAILGATE PARTIES! Each and every Monday throughout the year all our guests gather under the stars for an exciting tailgate event! Lounge chair seating on the beach, huge movie theatre screen, all your favorite tailgate delicacies while you enjoy the game on the beach under the stars, is there really anything better than this?
Patriot Day September 11th
Dreams Resorts will honor those lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks on America. A small service will be held at 8:48 am in all our resorts for those wishing to pay tribute to those lost on this fateful day.
Mexican Independence Day - September 16th
Everyone shows their Mexican spirit with one giant all day party! The events will be celebrated at all properties in Mexico, Jamaica or The Dominican Republic you won't have a lot of choice not to participate! Flags are flown throughout the country and adorn every vehicle and the festivities begin early and last late into the evening. Mexico is very proud of their independence and you'll have a great time kicking up your heels with the local staff with a true Mexican Fiesta on this day!
Baseball Playoffs - TBA
Join us at any Dreams Resorts & Spas during the playoffs and you're in for a major league good time as you watch the games on the beach from your lounge chair with a full array of snacks, beer and other treats as you kick back and relax under the moon!
World Series - TBA
The boys of summer are wrapping the season up and we'll be celebrating at all AMResorts. Each night of the World Series guests will enjoy a great baseball blowout on the beach with the large movie screen while relaxing in a lounge chair with their favorite snacks and buckets of beer!
Canadian Thanksgiving Day-October 8th
A traditional day of celebration for all our Canadian Guests! Join us for an incredible day of celebration with special programs in all our resorts and special events within all our Explorer's Clubs as well as a traditional Thanksgiving Feast and special menus in all our restaurants!
Halloween - October 31st
Enjoy the spooky antics in all AMResorts for this centuries old tradition! Theme parties begin early in the day with a special program for the Explorer's Club. Pumpkin carving, costume contests and a Halloween ball will keep all entertained while the Explorer's kids will design their own costumes and be escorted throughout the resort trick or treating with the employee hosts! Bring your costumes!
Mexican Revolution - November 20th
Practice your yell "Viva Mexico" because you'll need it while visiting Dreams Resorts & Spas in Mexico. November 20th marks the beginning of the Mexican Revolution and as night falls the party begins! Dancing, drinking and great family fun mark this Mexican Tradition. In the late evening the party really starts rolling.
Thanksgiving Day - November 22th
Worried about vacationing abroad during this special day? No need! At all Dreams Resorts & Spas a Thanksgiving Feast is part of the package! The day begins with the telecast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and the children will have a blast while enjoying the many scheduled events. Turkey calling, arts and crafts and history lessons with the Pilgrims will make this a very special family holiday. As the sun sets guests will enjoy a phenomenal World Class Thanksgiving feast prepared by our talented chefs. All the trimmings including Pumpkin Pie and cranberries. And of course we'll have all the Football games broadcast throughout the day and into the evening!

New Year's Eve - December 31st
All good things must come to an end but on the 31st of December it's just the beginning! Join us as we ring in the New Year in a tropical setting! Gourmet buffet & dining and dancing till dawn on the beach is the only way to truly celebrate your tropical holiday! Children's campout will keep the little ones safe and busy while the older folks partake in "A night to remember!"
On January 1st it's back to the top of this schedule with the spectacular New Year's brunch (including the First Aid Recovery Station) and we get to do it all over again. No matter when you come, we promise to surpass the vacation of your Dreams.
